As an adult, Shankar attracts the affection of two women: Sunita, the wealthy daughter of Bhanu Pratap Singh, and Madhu, a poor girl living with her parents. Both believe Shankar loves them. Shankar is hired by a wealthy woman named Amita to spy on Bhanu Pratap and his associates. During his investigation, Shankar learns his father had betrayed Bhanu Pratap and killed Bhanu’s brother, Shashi, but died in prison six years ago. Seeking Meenabai, Shankar discovers her brothel burned down and she is missing. Unbeknownst to him, Amita is actually Meenabai in disguise, using Shankar to seek revenge on Bhanu Pratap.
